Chloe Holstad

ALL Survivor

San Diego, CA

  • Print

17 year old Chloe Holstad played field hockey, and softball, along with a job at Miramar Speed Circuit. She is your typical high school student athlete with her mind set for a softball scholarship to Bethany College. She is anxiously waiting for the best parts of senior year: Prom, Grad Night, and even college. Early November mid October life threw a curve ball at her. Her jumpstart in the mornings started flowing differently, her energy weakening day by day. Pain bursts all around her with bruises magically appearing. Feeling weakness throughout her days struggling just to eat. With almost the start of second semester, January 5th, Hypodiploid Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia is diagnosed within Chloe. You never expect to hear you have cancer as a teen. She fights through a series of treatments every day, surgery for a port, picc lines in her arms, hickman line, a bone marrow transplant, 150 different chemo’s in just 6 months of treatment. Her family could not have gotten through it without the emotional and financial support we had.
