Welcome to the Southern Florida Light The Night Walk!
LIGHT THE NIGHT 2013 WALK DATES:
Broward - Huizenga Plaza: Saturday, November 9th
Miami-Dade - Bayfront Park: Saturday, November 16th
Light The Night takes place in the fall and celebrates and commemorates lives touched by cancer. This fun-filled community event includes food, refreshments, live entertainment and a Children's Village featuring a rock wall, bounce house, face painting and balloon art, games and much more! Participants walk in twilight with illuminated twinkling balloons - white for cancer survivors & patients, red for supporters, and gold in memory of a loved one who lost their battle. We continue to raise hope and awareness for blood cancer research.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Light The Night Walk funds lifesaving research and support for people battling cancer. Friends, families and co-workers form fundraising teams and millions of consumers help by donating at retail outlets. These efforts culminate in inspirational, memorable evening walks in over two hundred communities each fall across North America.
Form a team in 2013- Ask your family, friends, co-workers and neighbors to make a difference in your local community and help patients with cancer live better, longer lives.

Check-In: 5:00pm
Remembrance Ceremony: 6:00pm
Program: 6:30pm
Walk begins at 7:00pm
These walks are short-distance; less than a mile for Broward and less than 2 miles for Miami-Dade, and they are done at a leisurely pace. Walks are held rain or shine, and pets* & strollers are welcome!
*Dogs must be kept on leash and crowd-friendly
Light The Night Welcomes All Cancer Survivors
During the last 60+ years, LLS has invested more than $875 million to develop better cancer treatments. As a result, we are saving more lives and we are saving them faster than ever before. What's more, many of the blood cancer treatments we've funded have gone on to benefit patients who have other types of cancer. At Light The Night, friends, family and co-workers gather to celebrate their fundraising success and demonstrate their support in the fight against cancer. We welcome all cancer survivors at our walks, and patients and survivors are our guests, regardless of type of cancer or fundraising level.
THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO ATTENDED THE 2012 LIGHT THE NIGHT WALKS! To date, more than $1.4 million dollars has been raised towards the mission of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) - cure blood cancers! THANK YOU!
