About Light The Night
At The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Light The Night we gather as a community to celebrate, honor, and remember those touched by blood cancers. Friends, families, schools, corporate teams, and sponsors join together to bring light to the darkness of cancer. The funds raised by this community fund lifesaving research, advocacy and support for blood cancer patients and their families. Join us in the fight to cure cancer! There will also be a virtual event experience provided for any participants who would prefer to not join us in-person, held in November. Details to come in emails to all registered participants in early November.

PART OF TESSA'S STORY
During the summer of 2019, 2 1/2 year old Tessa started having unusual spells of sickness, allergic reactions, and exhaustion. After trying allergy meds, antibiotics and other recommendations, Tessa wasn't improving, and her family knew something was wrong. Her family checked her into Children's Nebraska where she was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) and a plan to stay in the hospital for a minimum of one month. After countless pokes, spinal taps, steroid meds, chemotherapy, and never-ending wagon rides around the hospital floor, Tessa and her family were finally able to go home. In November 2021, just 6 weeks before she turned 5, Tessa finished her last day of treatment!
Tessa is now a thriving first grader and enjoys school. She is always ready for her next adventure where she can explore and make new friends. Hear more about Tessa on September 26th at Stinson Park!
