Since The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society was founded in 1949, we have been funding research to find effective treatments for blood cancer patients. We are now at an extraordinary moment in time. Thanks to research funded in part by LLS, hundreds of thousands of patients today are managing their condition with a daily pill. And we are closer than ever to cures for many types of blood cancers.
Forty years ago, there was only a 3% chance of surviving a childhood leukemia. Today, 90% of children with leukemia survive.
LLS is working to ensure that patients have access to research discoveries and therapies that save lives.
