Light The Night Kick Off Event for the Newport News and Virginia Beach areas is scheduled for Thursday, September 2nd at Harbor Park!!
Thursday, September 2nd at Harbor Park in Downtown Norfolk- Parking Lot D- Picnic Entrance at 5:45. You will receive all the materials you need for successful fundraising, meet other team captains and walkers and have a chance to learn more about the Light The Night Walks as well as enjoy a night of Tides baseball! You do need to be a registered walker and have RSVP'd for tickets to the Tides game.
If you have raised $100 by August 30th, you will receive a reusable shopping bag and a wristband. The Tides game starts at 7:15. RSVP to Tiffany Tucker today to reserve your tickets!

Event Schedule
5:30 p.m. - Teams & Walkers arrive to enjoy food*, music, entertainment, children's activities and more. Remember to take your team photo!
6 p.m. - Teams & Walkers gather at the stage for our opening Walk program, including the Remembrance Ceremony.
7 p.m. - Teams & Walkers begin the walk and then return for dessert and final announcements.
Event will be held RAIN or SHINE!
Other Details
*Fees - No fee to participate, but you must raise a minimum of $100 (Champion for Cures!) in order to receive a t-shirt, illuminated balloon and a wristband for dinner at the Walk.
All cancer survivors - ...in attendance will receive a t-shirt, illuminated balloon and wristband for dinner regardless of fundraising level.
T-shirt - Walkers are eligible for a Light The Night t-shirt once they have raised a minimum of $100. Remember Teams that raise $2,000 or more by August 1st will be featured on the 2010 T-shirt!
Team Table - Teams that raise a minimum of $5,000 will have a Team Table at the Walk.
Team Tent - Teams that raise a minimum of $10,000 will have a Team Tent at the Walk.
Red Balloon = supporter
White Balloon = cancer survivor
Gold Balloon = in memory of a loved one lost
