Top Corporate Team: B&W Y-12
This corporate team did an extraordinary job of once again leading East Tennessee's record-breaking efforts in 2011! With just 39 walkers, B&W Y-12 was responsible for over $30,000 in fundraising - twice as much as they raised in 2010!
Top Friends & Family Team: WALK4LINDA
In just their second year, this team raised almost $7,600 in 2011! Walking in support of Linda Laugherty, who just finished treatment for AML and was able to join her team at the walk this year for the first time, the amazing support that this group has shown for Linda and LLS is truly remarkable!
MIDDLE TENNESSEE
Top Corporate Team: 360 Degrees of Light / Affinion
Led by Walk Chair Wayne Conte and Team Captains Carol Bigham and Deb Gunther, Affinion blew everyone away this year by raising over $25,000 in 2011! Wayne and the employees at Affinion have shown us that when they lead the charge against blood cancers, they can make a big impact on the lives of our patients and their families.
Top Friends & Family Team: Team Josh Benz
In just their first year, Team Josh Benz raised over $13,000 in 2011! This team walks for little Josh Benz, who passed away shortly after his diagnosis and just weeks before this year's walk. This team's strength and commitment to finding cures for blood cancers in the wake of such a terrible loss has truly inspired all of us at LLS.
