PizzaRev to Host Wednesday, August 30 Fundraiser to Benefit

To culminate a month-long effort to fund cancer research, PizzaRev will host a fundraiser on August 30, 2017, to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) South Florida. The fundraiser will take place all day at PizzaRev’s Coral Gables: 130 Miracle Mile, Coral Gables, FL 33134 20 percent of proceeds from guests who mention LLS at the register will benefit the local LLS chapter.
Why support LLS?
- 1.3 million Americans are presently living with, or are in remission from a blood cancer.
- Leukemia is the most common cancer in children less than 20 years old.
- Every three minutes, a man, woman or child is diagnosed with blood cancer.
- A blood cancer patient dies every nine minutes.
“Everyone knows someone touched by cancer. We are proud supporters of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and the revolutionary research they fund to find cures for blood cancer,” said co-founder, Nicholas Eckerman of PizzaRev. “We look forward to a successful fundraiser and to raise awareness among the South Florida community about the LLS goal to create a world without blood cancer.”
The August 30 fundraiser is part of PizzaRev’s national effort to support LLS’s Light The Night program – a series of fundraising campaigns and evening walks. Throughout August, more than 40 PizzaRev restaurants across the country are collecting donations to support the cause. For every $1 guests donate to LLS, they receive a $1 off voucher to use on their next visit to PizzaRev.
LLS invites all Light The Night Walk participants to host their team fundraisers at PizzaRev. PizzaRev will donate 20 percent of proceeds from all Light The Night fundraisers to the local LLS chapter.
