Silicon Valley Corporate Cup Challenge FAQs

Q: My company would like to participate in the Light The Night walk what are our options?
A: There are several ways your company can get involved with Light The Night. The following will give you a general understanding of how your company can participate. For further information regarding any of these opportunities please email  Natalie.Morales@lls.org.

Corporate Teams
Forming a Light The Night corporate team gives employees the experience working as a team to achieve an important goal and forge bonds outside the workplace. The minimum fundraising amount per person is $100.
 
The Silicon Valley Corporate Cup Challenge
Have your company be a part of one of Silicon Valley's most popular fundraising competitions! In addition to the benefits of forming a corporate team, Corporate Cup Challengers will compete with other Silicon Valley companies in a variety of team building and fundraising activities leading up to the walk. Now entering it's seventh year, the goal for the 2012 Silicon Valley Corporate Cup Challenge includes 45 participating companies raising over $1.1 million to benefit Light The Night and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Companies are broken into four weight classes determined by local corporate headcount, and all challengers will not only compete to win their respective divisionm but also the overall title of  Corporate Cup Challenge winner. By participating in the Challenge, companies enjoy increased camaraderie among teammates, increased employee morale and internal networking.

Sponsorship
Financial contributions made in your company's name will give the broadest exposure and provide valuable access to our audience. Levels of sponsorship vary and determine the amount of exposure and recognition. To inquire about sponsorship levels, please contact Natalie.Morales@lls.org.

Q: How does my company get started in The Silicon Valley Corporate Cup Challenge?
A. Our staff will take the guess work out of fundraising and will provide you with strategies, timelines and samples to help ensure your success. Below are the components that make the most successful challengers:

- Identify a Team Captain and Executive Endorser
- Corporate Sponsorship
- Involve employees
- Set a goal and begin to fundraise

Q: What is the fundraising minimum to enter The Silicon Valley Corporate Cup Challenge?
A: $10,000.

Q: As a Corporate Cup Challenger what will my company receive?
A: Corporate Cup Challengers will receive the following:

- 10x10 tent at the walk site
- Full walker benefits (t-shirt, food and balloon) for participating employees
- Company logo will be displayed on: event t-shirts, promotional materials, event programs, event signage and special  recognition will be given at all walks
