SHAYNE GEORGE- AUGUSTA'S 2008 CORPORATE WALK CHAIRMAN
Shayne George serves as Chief Executive Officer for Doctors Hospital in Augusta, Georgia. Shayne also served as Chief Operating Officer for Doctors Hospital for five years prior to his CEO role. Doctors Hospital has experienced success including being named as one of the Top 100 hospitals in the nation in 2000 and recently undergoing a $60 Million expansion project to add a new Patient Tower and services. Prior to Doctors Hospital, George served as COO for Davis Medical Center in Statesville, North Carolina and as Associate Administrator for the Medial Center of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. As an HCA and HealthTrust veteran, Shayne’s healthcare career has experienced markets in Georgia, Louisiana, and North Carolina. He holds an MBA and an MHA from Georgia State University. He also holds a Bachelors Degree in Marketing from Auburn University. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Shayne is an Executive Board member of the Georgia-Carolina Council Boy Scouts, United Way, member of Leadership Augusta, and Staff Parish Relations at his church Wesley United Methodist. Shayne had the fortunate experience of living abroad while growing up in Sydney, Australia. He and his wife Jan have two sons.

Richard Fairey- Augusta's 2008 Honorary Walk Chairman
Mr. Richard Fairey serves as the Augusta Market President of Wachovia Bank. Richard has been in the banking business for 20 years and joined Wachovia Bank in June 1997. He holds a B.B.A. degree from Georgia State University and licenses in Series 6 & 63 and Life, Accident and Health Insurance. He serves on the board of directors of Augusta Tomorrow, Inc. Richard and his wife Kim, have two daughters- Gabbi and Caroline.
HONORED HERO- OUR INSPIRATION

Cameron was diagnosed with Acute Leukemia on February 20th 2001. His treatment has been via port treatment. Cameron is in the 5th Grade at A. Dorothy Hains School. He enjoys all kinds of sports and music. He also plays the trumpet, trombone, drums and the symbols for the House of Prayer for All People. Cameron’s parents are Curtis and Sylvia and he has an older brother, Curtis.
