Dr. Anthony O. Parker - Albany's 2008 Corporate Chairman
Dr. Anthony Parker is serving as the 2008 Corporate Walk Chairman. Dr. Parker has been president of Albany Technical College since July 1995.Dr. Parker received a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from South Carolina State University, a master of education degree in counseling and guidance from South Carolina State University, a specialist in education degree in educational administration from Augusta College and a Ph.D. from the University of South Carolina. Dr. Parker is a member of the Georgia System of Technical Colleges Presidents Council. He has chaired the New Connections to Work and the Certified Literate Community Program committees and is involved in numerous other community organizations. Dr. Parker, a lymphoma survivor, is married to the former Sandra Pinkney, who is the vocational director for Lee County Schools. They have three children, Kimberly, Andrea and Richard.

Mr. Lamar Reese - Albany's 2008 Honorary Chairman
Mr. Lamar Reese is serving as Albany’s Honorary Chairman for 2008. Mr. Reese has been involved with Albany’s Light The Night Walk since its beginning in 2004. He is a lymphoma survivor and served as Community Leader in 2004 and 2005. Some of his community activities include past chairman and member of Dougherty County School Board, past President of Georgia School Board Association, past Trustee of Georgia Institute of Technology, past President of Albany YMCA and past Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of Dougherty County. Mr. Reese has resided in Albany since 1957 and is very well known in the community.
HONORED HERO- OUR INSPIRATION

Deborah was diagnosed with (ALL) Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia on May 16th, 2006. She received Chemotherapy, Radiation and a bone marrow transplant as her treatment protocol. Deborah is married to David and has two stepsons, David & Tyler. Deborah enjoys camping, fishing, hunting and landscaping. Her heroes are her donor and saving grace Stephanie, and Dr. Tongol with Phoebe Putney, as well as all the doctors and nurses that took care of her; but most of all, her hero is her husband.
