There are several volunteer opportunities available in Surrey, Vancouver and Victoria with the Light The Night® Walk. There are three types of volunteer opportunities offered by The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada®: special events participant, special events volunteer and in-house volunteer.
Special Events Participant
Help support the Society's mission to cure blood cancers by joining the Light The Night Walk as an event participant. Walk as an individual or get your friends, relatives and coworkers involved by forming a walk team.
Special Events Volunteer
We need several volunteers to help with the execution of Light The Night, which may include set-up, registration, team photos, cheer stations, clean-up and working various other booths. A special events volunteer is needed on the night of the Walk in the fall.
If you are interested in volunteering on the day or night of Light The Night, please contact your local office. Both sites need approximately 130 volunteers to help with the event. Duties includes, and are not limited to, set-up, registration, blowing up balloons, route marshals, site hosts and more.
