Thank you for your participation in Harrisburg’s 2009 Light the Night Walk at City Island on
September 18. The night turned out to be a perfect evening for all of those who gathered together to honor and commemorate those lives touched by cancer. Thank you all for coming out to support our mission. Because of the fundraising efforts of many walkers and teams, I am proud to report that this Walk has raised over$154,000 to date! Check back periodically for futher fundraising results.

We hope you enjoyed your Light The Night experience!  We appreciate all that you do. Thank you again for your time, energy and dedication to the Light the Night Walk!  We hope to see you again next year.

To assist you with any uncollected monies or to help you reach your personal fundraising goals, here is a sample email you can use:

Thank you for supporting my fundraising efforts for the Light The Night Walk benefiting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The Walk was an amazing and inspirational night. We all carried illuminated balloons and felt a sense of accomplishment to better the world…by funding research to cure blood cancers.

I have raised $(amount you turned in at the walk) and appreciate your support. I am continuing to collect donations. If you haven’t yet made a donation and are inclined to do so, please help me reach and possibly exceed my goal of $(your fundraising goal here) by sending me a check or making a donation online. Checks can be made out to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and mailed to me at (your address here).

You can be proud that the money you contribute goes to a worthy cause – research to cure leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

OUR GOAL IS TO FIND A CURE!  

Our goal for 2008 Harrisburg Light the Night is to raise $183,800 to support our mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

Many walkers were asking if funds are still being accepted...absolutely!  Any on-line or submitted donations will count toward your incentives until December 31, 2008. We will continue to keep you posted as we strive to raise $29,800 more to reach our goal.
