Katie was diagnosed with ALL in November of 2005 when she was 3 1/2 years old. Just this June, Katie's most recent test results came back - she's cancer-free! Today, Katie is a happy and healthy five-year-old looking forward to starting first grade in the fall. Katie and her family have been walking with Light The Night for the past three years, raising nearly $10,000 last year! |
| Dean was first diagnosed with CLL in March of 1995, just days after his 35th birthday. Dean has faced a number of challenges as he has gone through treatment including a number of side effects, and unfortunately a reoccurance of CLL in February of 2003, and a case of Graft vs. Host disease. But Dean has seen a lot of improvements in cancer treatments since he was first diagnosed 13 years ago, and has now been in remission for 3 1/2 years! He is happily married with two wonderful children and continues to do well! Dean and his family have been walking with Light The Night for the past three years, and last year alone Dean himself raised over $2,200, with his team, The "B" Cells, raising over $5,600! |
