Light The Night in 12 Easy Steps:

1. Set a team goal.

2. Register team members (recruit friends, family, co-workers).
          IDEA: Consider having a co-team captain.  The more help you have, the more money you raise.

3. Set up your active.com online fundraising webpage.

4. Write your fundraising letter (and encourage your teammates to do the same!).  Send your fundraising webpage link to friends and family and then follow-up after 1-2 weeks with those individuals you have yet to hear from.
         IDEA: Ask LLS Staff about the annual postage promotion.

5. Drop in on your frequently visited local businesses (pharmacy, bakery, dry cleaner, etc.) and inquire about potential sponsorship, balloon sales, or canning.

6. Attend your local LLS-organized kickoff event!

7. Talk with LLS Staff about Top Fundraising Clubs and encourage your team members to join as well!

8. Host a wrap-around event (BBQ, Dress Down Day, Bake Sale, etc.)

9. Ask your company about their Matching Gifts program.  (Visit www.matchinggifts.com/lls to see if your company matches and for instructions.

10. Attend a Meet-and-Greet with LLS Staff.

11. Attend your local Bank Night.

12. Make a final push to meet your team goal.
         IDEA: Organize a "Team Social"--banner/t-shirt decorating party.
         IDEA: Send out final round of emails, "It's not too late to donate..."
         IDEA: Follow up with your team members to confirm meeting place for day-of.
