Light The Night Introduces the Gold Balloon--NEW for 2008!

This year, in addition to red balloons signifying supporters and white balloons signifying patients and survivors, the Massachusetts Chapter will be introducing a gold balloon to commemorate lives lost to a blood cancer.  Every 10 minutes, another life is lost to blood cancer--an estimated 52,310 deaths in 2007.  While we strive to improve the quality of life of today's patients and their families, LLS also remembers those who have lost their battle. Each team walking in memory of someone can receive one gold balloon for their team.  Individual walkers, who are not part of a team, who are walking in memory of someone may receive a gold balloon as well.  Team captains and individual walkers MUST RSVP for their gold balloon.
