Moonlight & Martini's 2008

   Moonlight & Martini’s celebrates its inaugural year in 2008. With proceeds benefiting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of South Florida, Moonlight & Martini’s will help raise critical dollars in support of LLS’ mission: to find cures for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Moonlight & Martini’s will be held at the Parkland Golf & Country Club on Friday, October 3, 2008 from 7:00 pm to 12:00 am.

   Moonlight & Martini’s will include food, fun, entertainment and a silent auction along with a wonderful community spirit that is driven by it’s co-chairs, Lisa Beggs and Ellen Tacher. Both women have personal ties to blood cancer and are relentless in The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s mission to find a cure. Moonlight & Martini’s was born out of Lisa Beggs’ involvement last year in the Light The Night Walk in honor of her husband, Ken. In 2007, team Beggin’ 4 A Cure was Light The Night’s top friends and family team raising more than $15,000!

Team Beggin’ 4 A Cure at the Ft. Lauderdale Light The Night Walk included more than 120 walkers and raised more than $15,000 for blood cancer research.
