Dennis Kuhl begins his fifth year as President of the Angels after his appointment, Nov. 10, 2003 and oversees all day-to-day operations of Angels Baseball. He is the eighth president in Angels’ history.

Under his leadership, the Angels have shown tremendous growth and advancement in key business initiatives, including sponsorship and marketing revenues, the nationwide expansion and marketing of the Angels brand, an upsurge in attendance (the Angels have topped the 3-million plateau for five straight seasons) and increased broadcasting revenue through television and radio partnerships. 

Dennis, who has over 30 years experience in the Outdoor Advertising industry, came to the Angels after spending eight years as Executive Vice President, Western Region, for Viacom Outdoor. He began his career as an account Executive with Eller Outdoor of Phoenix, AZ in 1973. In 1982 Dennis was named Vice President, General Manager of Gannett Outdoor of New Haven, Connecticut. After two years, he was promoted to Vice President, Western Region for Outdoor Network USA, a sales arm of Gannett Outdoor. He remained with Gannett Outdoor for the next 10 years in a variety of roles, resulting in his advancement to President of Gannett Outdoor New York in 1990. After three years, Dennis left Gannett Outdoor in 1993 to become Vice President of National Sales for Outdoor Systems. The next year he was named Vice President, General Manager for Outdoor Systems in Atlanta, Georgia, and then Southern California 

Dennis, 59, has been very active in community organizations and charities throughout his career. A former member of the Walter Camp Football Foundation of New Haven, Connecticut, he also served as a board member of The Shire, a treatment facility in Mendham, NJ, which treats alcoholism in teenagers, and a board member of Young Black Achievers in Newark, NJ. He spent seven years as a Valley Big Brother in Phoenix, AZ, and was President of the Multiple Sclerosis Society (Phoenix Chapter). Dennis is active locally in charities such as “Light The Night” The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, The Pacific Club IMPACT Foundation/Lott Trophy, the Board of Governors at Chapman University, Board of Directors for the Los Angeles Sports Council and Board of Directors of the Newport Sports Museum. 

A Boonton (NJ) native, Dennis graduated from the University of Arizona in 1970 with a degree in business administration. Prior to that, he attended Chamberlayne Junior College in Boston, MA.
