Stephen (6 Years Old)

Stephen battled high fevers, fatigue, and pneumonia for 9 days before blood work and a bone marrow biopsy confirmed that Stephen has leukemia. Stephen will endure 3 1/4 years of chemotherapy treatments ending in January of 2009. He takes oral chemotherapy medication at home every night, blood draws every 2 weeks, IV chemotherapy once a month, and intrathecal spinal injections, requiring surgical procedure once every 12 weeks for the remainder of his treatment protocol.

Stephen's strength, courage and spirit has lead us through this battle every step of the way. He has taught us the true meaning of love, struggle, faith and the appreciation of family and friends. He is not only a survivor but an inspiration.

Stephen's favorite TV shows are Sponge Bob, Scooby-Doo, and WWE. Stephen likes playing hockey, baseball, fishing on his boat, playing with his friends, music, collecting things, and science experiments.
