 Emma Bowley

On March 27, 2007 Emma Bowley, a vibrant 4-year old young lady, was diagnosed with ALL (Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia) after accompanying her brother, who had a stomach virus, to the doctor’s office. While at their appointment, a nurse encouraged them to head over to the hospital for some tests because something just wasn’t right with Emma. The following day her family received the news that Emma had ALL; they began treatment immediately and today Emma is doing well as she continues her treatment.

Emma has a variety of interests. She likes to go to the park, the pool and the beach, loves animals and adores her family (especially her big brother, Sam)! She enjoys painting, hearing stories about when she was a baby and likes it when her mom reads her stories and sings songs to her. According to Emma, her favorite memory is “when she got out of her mom’s stomach and got to see her!"

In 2007 her neighbors formed a Light The Night team in honor of Emma and her family, Team Medearis for Emma. One of Emma’s favorite colors is pink, so to show their support EVERYONE on the team wore something pink…it was a sight to see! Stay tuned for updates on Emma and her family!
