Rock Hill Light The Night Corporate Walk Chair
Senator Wes Hayes
Senator Robert Wesley (Wes) Hayes, Jr. served in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 1985-1991 and has served as a member of the South Carolina Senate since 1991. He has been named Legislator of the Year by the S.C. Cable Television Association (1998), S.C. Pharmacy Association (1999), S.C. Primary Health Care Association (2002), S.C. Public Health Association (2003), Behavioral Health Services Association of S.C. (2006), and by the Adult Education Director’s Division of the S.C. Association of School Administrators (2008). Prior to his political career, Senator Hayes served in the military as a member of the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg from 1976-1980, and as a member of the S.C. Army National Guard from 1980-2005, where he held the rank of Colonel. He is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and the University of South Carolina’s School of Law. In addition to holding a seat in the South Carolina Senate, Senator Hayes is also a partner in the law firm of Harrelson, Hayes and Guyton. He and his wife, Sally, reside in Rock Hill and are the proud parents of three children: Wes Hayes, III, Creighton Hayes, and Margaret Hayes. |
