How to Participate

There are so many ways to get involved with your local Light The Night Walk.  Whether you’d like to lead a team of friends, family, and co-workers; volunteer to staff a walk; or support our mission with monetary donations, everyone can make a difference!  How can you help in the fight against blood cancers?

Team Captain - The team captain plays an important role in Light The Night. Acting as a liaison between the team and the chapter, the team captain is responsible for recruiting team members and assisting with fundraising.  Team captains also inform team members of important dates and procedures and help to organize their team on walk day. To register a team, visit www.lightthenight.org/cpa and click on "REGISTER", or call 1-800-822-2873. Once we receive your registration, we will send you a Welcome Letter & Team Captain Kit.

Team Member - The captain acts as a liaison for your team, but it is the duty of each team member to help reach the team's fundraising goals. Team members are also responsible for assisting the team captain with team member recruitment. To register for the walk, visit www.lightthenight.org/cpa and click on "REGISTER", or call 1-800-822-2873.  When you reach Team Name section, look for your team name under the drop down menu to complete your registration.  Once we receive your registration, we will send you a Walker Welcome Packet & Collection Envelope.

Individual Walker - These are participants who are not on a team and have elected to fundraise on their own.  Individual walkers can register and immediately begin raising funds for Light the Night. To register as an individual visit www.lightthenight.org/cpa and click on "REGISTER", or call 1-800-822-2873. Once we receive your registration, we will send you a Walker Welcome Packet & Collection Envelope.

Monetary Sponsor - Ask your company if they would like to be a sponsor of this unique event. Sponsorship will not only contribute to the success of the event but will provide sponsors with great marketing exposure. By becoming an official sponsor for Light The Night, your company will enhance its image while supporting its employees and The Society in finding a cure for blood cancers. In-Kind Sponsor - We are always looking for companies/organizations interested in sponsoring the celebration activities of Light The Night by donating food, refreshments, entertainment or activities for the kids for the evening of the event. If you would like more information on how to become involved in these activities please call 1-800-822-2873.

Volunteer - A successful event could never happen without the help and support of many great volunteers. If you would like to volunteer for a Light The Night Walk in your area please call 1-800-822-2873 and specify which walk site.
