Light The Night - What A Celebration!!!
Through the support of our sponsors, participants, volunteers and donors, the Downriver Light The Night walk has raised over $49,000!!! Thank you to everyone who helped us take another step towards finding a cure for blood cancers.

In all, 27 teams helped joined us and raised money to help fight blood cancers. We would like to thank and congratulate our Top Five Teams this year.

Donations to be credited to your 2008 efforts will be accepted until December 1. Any donations that are submitted before December 1 will be credited to your fundraising goal and towards your incentive level.

The Fight Continues On...
Did you ask people to donate and they never got back to you, or you just ran out of time to ask everyone that you know? You can continue to fundraise. Here are a few ways to continue the fight against blood cancers:
1) Send out one final email to all of your contacts telling them about the walk and your fundraising success. Send them a link to you online fundraising page, and let them know that it is still not too late to donate.
2) Host an event around the holidays or sporting event. There are a whole lot of holidays and major sporting events on the upcoming calendar. Host a tailgate party before an important football game or get a group of friends together for some holiday scrapbooking. All you have to do is charge for people to get in. Everyone spends money on fun things, especially if it helps a charity.
3) Every Burlington Coat Factory store throughout the nation is selling paper balloons to support Light The Night. In Michigan alone, they have sold over 30,000 balloons. BCF will continue to sell balloons until November 30. Shop at their stores and support Light The Night when you check out.
