The key is to ask.  You'll be surprised by how many people will want to help this worthy cause.

Thank your donors
Follow-up is crucial.  You should always send a thank you letter to your donors following the Walk.
This is the perfect time to inform them of your overall success.

Some unique fundraising ideas:

Sell Light the Night bears from Plushland!  You can order a box of bears for $2.60 per bear and sell them for $10+ each.  Bears come in all shapes and costumes.  They are adorable and make great presents!  Visit www.plushland.com or call 1-888-500-8697.

Have a wine and cheese party / costume party / disco party ... for a donation fee at the door you raise easy money fast and have a blast with your family & friends for a good cause.

See if your local bar/restaurant will sponsor your team!  Ask them to have a Light the Night evening in which a portion of sales / tips goes to your fundraising.

Throw a car wash / dog wash / dog walk - get the kids involved.  Make it fun for the whole family!
