What do I do with my pledges and how do I get my incentives and balloons? Go to the registration/check-in tent first and they will give you all the wristbands you need to get your incentives and balloons.
What time does it start? Registration opens at 5:30 p.m along with the Kids Zone, Remembrance Ceremony and Food Area. The walk starts at 7:00 p.m.
Is there a water stop on the course? Yes, there is one at the half-way mark.
Will food be served after the event? Yes, we will have free snacks and drinks offered before the walk begins.
Who do I make the check payable to? LLS and please include the participant's name on the bottom.
How long is the walk? Each walk is about 2 ½ to 3 miles. It is a flat course so strollers, wheelchairs, and pets are welcome.
How many people are on a team? A team consists of four or more people.
Where do I get a banner for my team? If your team raised $1,500 or more, you will be given a banner. However, all teams are encouraged to bring their own signs and banners to carry during the event. Many teams also choose to wear a special team t-shirt, team hat or team pin.
How much do you have to raise? All registered fundraising walkers will receive an illuminated balloon. All walkers raising $100 or more will receive a t-shirt. All other prizes are not cumulative.
Can I register the day of? Yes, you can. However, we advise you to pre-register as it doesn't cost you anything and you don't have to wait in the long “day-of registration” lines the night of the walk.
Do we have to turn in all our pledges the night of? In order to be eligible for fundraising prizes you must have your pledges in by October 31.
Can I bring my dog? Yes, but it must be on a leash. Keep in mind that there will be many people (including small children), so consider leaving your dog at home if he is not people-friendly.
