2008 Honorary Chair, Dr. Mel Goldstein

We would like to thank Dr. Mel Goldstein for serving as the 2008 Honorary Chair for Light the Night - this will be Dr. Mel's 10th year as our Honorary Chair.
Recently celebrating his eleven year multiple myeloma survivorship, Dr. Mel has helped to raise over $2 million for Light The Night since the national pilot walk at Lighthouse Point in 1999.
As author of The Complete Idiot's Guide to Weather, he donates the profits of its sales to cancer research. Dr. Mel can be seen delivering the weather weekdays 5 - 7am and at noon on WTNH Channel 8.
Throughout the many years, Dr. Mel has and continues to spread courage and inspiration to everyone he meets. His webpage, www.DrMelMyeloma.com, is an outlet for patients, families, and friends alike to get support and the courage they need to fight. Dr. Mel gives generous contributions of his time to advance the Society's mission.

We are deeply honored to call Dr. Mel our friend.
Tell Dr. Mel how much his 9 years as Honorary Chairman has meant to all of us!
Please visit www.DrMelMyeloma.com and thank him and his wife Arlene for their generosity and leadership for Light The Night!
