Balloon Tent - Charlotte Light The Night Volunteers
|
On the night of the walk - Gather friends, family, community groups, organizations, school and/or company members to help Light The Night. Volunteer duties include setting up and breaking down of Light The Night walk sites, help check in walk participants, distributing T-shirts & sweatshirts, blowing up balloons, organizing and distributing refreshments and cheering for all walkers as they make their way to the finish line!
Prior to walk day - Volunteers can coordinate through school groups, companies or friends and help assemble the thousands of battery packs needed to illuminate the balloons that participants will carry on the night of the walks. Assistance with this project, and many others, can be completed by visiting The Western North Carolina Chapter offices prior to the event. This is an excellent opportunity for a half or full day of community outreach.
