HOW TO PARTICIPATE

Team Captain - The team captain plays an important role in Light the Night.  Acting as a liason between the team and the chapter, the team captain is responsible for recruiting team members and assisting with fundraising.  They also inform team members of important dates and procedures and help to organize th team on walk day.   To register a team visit www.lightthenight.org/wpa or call 1-800-726-CURE.  Once we receive your registration, we will send you a Welcome Letter & a Team Captain Kit.

Team Member - The captain acts as a liason for your team but it is the duty of each team member to help reach the team's fundraising goals and help with team member recruitment.  To register for the walk visit www.lightthenight.org/wpa and when you get to the Team Name section look for it under the drop down menu.  If it isn't there check with your Team Captain to make sure that he or she registered the team and submitted a Team Name. Once we receive your registration, we will send you a Welcome Letter,  Walker Manual & Collection Envelope.

Individual Walker - These are participants who are not on a team and have elected to fundraise on their own.  Individual walkers can register and immediately start raising funds for Light the Night.  To register as an individual visit www.lightthenight.org/wpa or call 1-800-726-CURE.  Once we receive your registration, we will send you a Welcome Letter, Walker Manual & Collection Envelope.

Monetary Sponsor - Ask your company if they would like to be a sponsor of this unique event.  Sponsorship will not only contribute to the success of the event but will provide sponsors with great marketing exposure.  By becoming an official sponsor for Light the Night, your company will enhance its image while supporting its employees and the society in finding a cure for blood cancers. In-Kind Sponsor - We are always looking for companies/organizations interested in sponsoring the celebration part of Light the Night by donating food, refreshments, entertainment or activities for the kids.  If you would like more information on how to become involved in the celebration portion of the evening please call 1-800-726-CURE.

Volunteer - A successful event could never happen without the help and suppoprt of many great volunteers.  If you would like to volunteer for a Light the Night Walk in your area please call 1-800-726-CURE and specify which walksite.
