Thank you for being a Light The Night Team Captain. Teams play an integral part in the success of Light The Night and are responsible for raising nearly 75 percent of the funds raised in the Light The Night Walk each year.

The average team in the Southern California area consists of ten members and raises $2,000, but some teams raise much more.   Ask your friends, family, co-workers and neighbors to walk on your team - the more the merrier! Set a fundraising goal and encourage each person on your team to help you reach that goal.

Each year, the top fundraising teams receive awards at our wrap-up awards parties in November.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society will provide you with a Team Captain Kit that gives you all of the tools you need to create a successful Light The Night team. In addition, our Light The Night staff is eager to work with you to make your team a fundraising success.  Internal kick-offs are always a great way to get everyone excited about fundraising.  Ask your staff contact at the Society to help you plan one!
