CharlestonIan LesterIan Lester was three years old when he was diagnosed with acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL). He is now in his second to last phase of treatment, after which he will be able to return to preschool. Ian loves trains more than ever and enjoys going out for rides in the car and walks in his neighborhood. |

ColumbiaJayce BlackJayce was born with congenital acute myleloid leukemia (A.M.L.), receiving his first dose of chemotherapy before he was a month old. His parents were told that his chance of surviving was very slim. Fortunately, Jayce survived and is now in remission. 2009 marks his second year being off treatment. FlorenceColby BeverlyColby was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (A.L.L.) when he was two and a half years old. He was treated at Palmetto Richland Hospital in Columbia, SC, where he underwent blood transfusions. In March of 2009 he was given a clean bill of health at his yearly check-up! |

GreenvilleLaura HarrisAfter surviving non-Hodgkins lymphoma in 1999, Laura Harris was diagnosed with yet another blood cancer in 2007: large cell lymphoma. To keep her spirits high, Harris enjoys engaging in activities involving physical fitness - pilates, yoga, cycling, and gardening. |
Rock HillEthan ShawSeven-year-old Ethan Shaw was diagnosed with acute lymphocytic leukemia (A.L.L.) in 2005 and finished his treatments in January of 2009. He loves NHL, NFL, animals, nature, swimming, art, theatre, and music. |
