Ralph Guglielmi 

Diagnosis: Acute Myelogenous Leukemia, 2004 

Ralph had an autologous stem cell transplant in 2004 and will be celebrating five years in remission in November. Since becoming involved with LLS, Ralph has particpated in the Pennis for Patients program and was Man of the Year in 2007.  He enjoys hunting, fishing, cooking, and most importantly being a father. Although in remission, Ralph is greatful for every day and wants people to know that, "cancer is not a death sentence."

 


Dan Patterson 

Diagnosis: Multiple Myeloma, 2005 

Dan's friends once put on a mock trial of his life.  Dan was found guilty on all counts of leading a outrageous life. This will be his fourth year as a LTN participant and when asked about all of the support he has received, Dan said "I opened my heart and the whole world walked in. Light the Night does exactly what it says, it lights the flame of hope for a cure for all those affected by blood cancers."

Ayden Lancaster  

Diagnosis: Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia

Ayden was diagnosed when he was two years old. After undergoing chemo, Ayden is doing amazing.  He is described as, "a happy kid with a great sense of humor" who loves to pretend he is a super hero and play with legos.   

 

 

 

Adam Walraven 

Diagnosis: Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia

Adam was diagnosed with ALL when he was just 20 months old.  He endured 36 months of chemotherapy and at the age of four is doing well! He loves playing with trucks, airplanes, and helicopters.  Adam's mom Kim says, "Adam loves making his balloon light up and seeing hundreds of balloons light the night all from the comfort of his Red Flyer Wagon."  The Walravens love Light The Night because it gives them a chance to meet other families going through similar situations and provies them with a way to give back and help in the fight against blood cancers!

 

Joshua Taylor 

Diagnosis: Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia

Joshua was diagnosed with ALL at the age of two.  He has undergone a year and a half of treatment and has a year and a half to go. He loves to play hockey, golf, and baseball.  He also loves to go to school and hang out with his little brother.  His mom says that, "Josh loves walking in Light The Night because he likes to show how far he has come and to encourage others in the same situation.  He also likes to be the center of attention!"
