The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Southwest Region - New Mexico chapter proudly welcomes Ms. Lauren Cates of Presbyterian Healthcare Services to the position of 2012 Light The Night Corporate Walk Chair! The Walk Chair is instrumental in bringing corporate involvement to the Walk and assists in advocating blood cancer awareness within our community. Ms. Cates has recruited the assistance of Ms. Elizabeth Brophy, Ms. Julie Lujan, and 2011 Walk Chair, Mr. Bill Sabatini, to support her throughout the year's Light The Night campaign.

Registration for the 2012 Light The Night Walk at ABQ Uptown in Albuquerque, New Mexico is now open! Sign up as an individual walker or create a team today, for free! This year's walk will be held on Saturday, September 29th and host over 1,000 walk participants, survivors, and volunteers. Our goal is to raise over $200,000 ... a record and milestone for the New Mexico Light The Night Walk! All proceeds will be used to aid The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. To get started, click "Register to Walk" in the above tool bar - the process is quick and easy and registrants will receive a customizable web page to start fundraising today! Walkers who raise over $100 will become 'Champions For Cures' and will receive a participant t-shirt, an illuminated balloon, and food and drink the night of the Walk.
In 2011, New Mexico's Light The Night Walk raised over $165,000 from donors, participants, and sponsors.
We would like to thank ABQ Uptown (Simon Malls), Lovelace Health System, Presbyterian Health, and KOB-TV for returning as sponsors of the 2012 Walk. Expect more exciting news and events, in the coming months, as we get closer to New Mexico's largest walk to support blood cancer research and patients!
