New Orleans Corporate Walk Chairman,

Roy S. Weiner, M.D., Associate Dean for Clinical Research and Training, Tulane University School of Medicine, and Associate Director of Clinical Research for the Tulane Cancer Center.

Dr. Weiner completed his undergarduate degree at Williams College, majoring in German and Biology.  He received his M.D. in 1967 from SUNY at Brooklyn with a research emphasis in immunology.  He trained in internal medicine at John Hopkins Hospital and at the Hospitals of the University of California in San Francisco.  After a fellowship in medical oncoogy and immunology as s Staff Associate at the NIH, he completed a second post-doctoral fellowship in cellular immunology and immunotherapy at I'Institut de Cancerologie et d'Immunogenetique in Villejuif, France.  Dr. Weiner taught at Harvard Medical School as Assistant Professor of Medicine and Research Associate at Dana Farber Cancer Institute and the Brigham and Womens Hospital prior to joining the faculty at the University of Florida as Associate Professor of Medicine, Microbiology and Immunology and Chief, Division of Medical Oncology in 1976.  He was promoted to Professor in 1981 and in 1987 began serving as the American Cancer Society Professor of Clinical Oncology.  Dr. Weiner began working at Tulane University in 1993 as the Edward G. Schleider Educational Foundation Professor of Medical Oncology and founding Director of the Tulane Cancer Center.

 

 

Baton Rouge Corporate Walk Chairman,

Joshua Bullock, Vice President and Relationship Manager, Capital One Bank

A native of Baton Rouge, Josh is a graduate of University High School and LSU, and is currently working as Vice President and Commercial Relationship Manager in Capital On'es Specialty Finance Lender Group, where his client base is comprised on non-bank financial institutions around the country,  He has been at Capital One (formerly Hibernia) for 7 years.  Josh is married to his beautiful wife, Amanda, and they have one amazing daughter, Caroline.  The Bullocks are members of St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Baton Rouge.  2009 will mark Josh's second year working with The Leukemai & Lymphoma Society.
