Walk will be held rain or shine, in case of extreme or unsafe weather conditions, this site will be updated by 3 p.m. day of walk with any information.
 
On an evening in December 2011, our longest tenured volunteer, Elaine Levinson, was diagnosed with a rare lymphoma. Her grandson, Mason, wants to show support to his "Mema" by continuting Haircuts for Heroes at this year's walk. Mason will be there on Oct. 12 to honor all cancer survivors. You, too, can be a part of Haircuts for Heroes! Shave your head at the walk or get a streak of color put in to honor your favorite survivor. |
Honored Hero Spotlight
Grace Schmitt
Grace was diagnosed with CML in July of 2002 and is currently in complete remission. She is married and the mother of two daughters.
Grace teaches in Wayne Township Schools.
Her favorite movie is It's A Wonderful Life.
Her favorite quote is: "Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."

Laura Gretencord
Laura has served as general counsel and assistant secretary for Marsh Supermarkets, Inc., since 2006. An accomplished attorney with 20 years of experience in general business & real estate law, she joined Marsh in 1997.
She has volunteered with LLS, joining forces with her husband to raise funds.
Laura & her husband, Steve, are the parents of three children.

Traci Dolan
Traci is an accomplished leader with 30 years of experience in finance, operations & business strategy. Since 2011 she has served as the Chief Administrative Officer of ExactTarget, Inc. and from 2004 until 2011 served as the company's Chief Financial Officer. Traci is actively engaged in community initiatives and is committed to working with the LLS team to raise funds & awareness for the 2013 Light The Night Walk.
