For every individual who achieves Bright Light Status a percentage of funds from our national sponsors is given back to our local chapter.
In 2019, we had more than 300 Bright Lights who raised over $850,000. Therefore, our 2019 Bright Lights helped bring over $57,000 back to Eastern Pennsylvania. Thank you to the individuals who have achieved Bright Light Status to date! Find out more about our Bright Lights Club below.
WHAT IS THE BRIGHT LIGHTS CLUB?
The Bright Lights Club is LLS's national top fundraising club open to all participants who take that extra step and raise $1,000 or more. Bright Lights Club members receive special recognition and exclusive gifts in honor of their extraordinary efforts in the fight against blood cancer.
These include:
- Personalized fundraising support from the Light The Night staff
- Newly designed 2020 Bright Lights long sleeved tech tee
- Certificate of recognition
WHY SHOULD I BECOME A BRIGHT LIGHT?
Become a Bright Light in support of the mission of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society: to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Bright Lights Club members have a significant and long-lasting impact on patients. $1,000 makes possible one-on-one conversations with health care specialists who provide patients with information about their disease, treatment options, and helps them prepare questions for their health care team. In addition, our local Eastern PA Chapter is awarded additional dollars from the national pharmaceutical sponsorships based on our total number of Bright Lights. In 2019 our Bright Lights helped to bring in more than $57,000 in additional funds to our local chapter!
WHO PARTICIPATES?
Anyone can become a Bright Light by pledging to raise $1,000 or more. In 2019 in Eastern PA, LLS had 316 Bright Lights that raised over $850,000 in the fight against cancer!
HOW DO I GET STARTED?
Simply pledge to raise $1,000 or more. Set your goal on your personal fundraising page to a $1,000+, and then ask your friends, family and network to donate. Light The Night staff is available to help you achieve your goal.
The fundraising team with the most Bright Lights across all of Eastern PA will receive our Chandelier Award for their outstanding efforts.
