The 2009 Light The Night Walks may be over, but the fight against blood cancers goes on...

The Light The Night Walk is The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's annual evening fundraising Walk to celebrate and commemorate lives touched by cancer.  Funds raised support our mission: to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.  In 2009, with the help of our sponsors, participants, and volunteers, we raised over $185,000!  But the fundraising doesn't stop there.  We still need another $27,000 to meet our goal!  We sincerely appreciate all the generosity and hard work - let's keep it up and make our goal!

This Fall, teams of families, friends and co-workers gathered throughout Delaware to Light The Night with hope.  Participants carried illuminated balloons - white for cancer patients and survivors, red for supporters and gold to honor the memory of those lost - while they walked under the setting sun into the early evening.  The sea of twinkling lights at twilight created a breathtaking sight that brightened the future for millions touched by cancer.
