Your help is greatly needed. Read this quote from one of the LLS funded researchers:
At the present time, I am incredibly optimistic that we are on the cusp of making significant advances in leukemia, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma with respect to both identifying new ways to effectively treat these diseases and also to prevent complications that arise as a consequence of them. Researchers are hearing that LLS is very limited in new things that can be funded but more importantly may have difficulty in maintaining research efforts they already have going to identify new therapies. The economic times could not have occurred at a worse time as it has great potential to significantly delay these advances and lead to the loss of patients with blood cancers who might have otherwise been saved from their battle. - Dr. John Byrd, LLS SCOR funded researcher at The Ohio State University .
