How To Participate:
At LLS, we offer “turnkey” programs for customer engagement. Your customers will experience first-hand your commitment to your community. We make community engagement easy while providing employees with an opportunity to support their company and community through retail partnerships.
Paper Icon Program Concept: Paper icon sales are a great way to build excitement about community support while raising critical dollars to support LLS’s mission. Associates ask each customer at point-of-purchase to “buy an icon” for $1 to $5 to help the store support patients battling cancer, through LLS. The customer signs his/her name on the paper icon, and they are placed throughout the store. Retailers are encouraged to run the program for three to four weeks. We encourage you to start the program by displaying paper icons with the names of all employees.
Buy a product, donate a percentage: Pick a specific item to sell during a specific month like September which is Blood Cancer Awareness Month, and donate a percentage of sales back to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Round up at Register: Associates ask customers to round up their purchase at point-of-purchase to help end cancer. Signs and posters will be available for display at register and throughout the store.
Ask at Register: Associates ask customers to donate $1, $5 or $10 at check-out and skip all the paper. Signs will be available for display at registers with easy access to UPC codes for associates to scan.
Coupon Sale: Give $X and receive $X off your next purchase. Ask customers to donate a dollar amount and they will receive that amount off of their next purchase. This will encourage customers to donate as well as ensure return traffic to your store.
